Email sales@downtofab.com to start the return request process.  Requests are appreciated to be within 30 days of the order date.  Decisions on the return authorization will be based on the below criteria and approvals will receive an RMA # that must be put on the return label address above:

 

If we (Down To Fab, LLC) makes a mistake we will take care of you, but we still require the below:

  • Parts should be returned unused, clean, unmodified, not damaged, in the original packaging, and in saleable condition.  There can be case to case exceptions to this.
  • We will send a return shipping label via email or text.
  • We will process the return once the part physically is received at Down To Fab.  There can be case by case exceptions to this.

If the customer makes a mistake we will work with the customer based on the below guidelines:

  • Special orders cannot be returned.  There possibly are case by case exceptions, so please feel free to inquire.
  • Factory direct or drop shipped orders cannot be returned.  There possibly are case by case exceptions, so please feel free to inquire.
  • Return restocking fee is 15%.  This fee can be waived if a follow up order for the correct product is received (please leave a note in the 'comments' section during check out to bring this to our attention).
  • Shipping costs are not refunded.
  • Return shipping expense and arrangement to deliver the order to the shipping provider is the responsibility of the customer.
    • If the order is returned in the same packaging and the same weight as delivered Down To Fab, LLC can supply the return label. The expense of the return label will be deducted from the return value amount.
    • If the order is in a different packaging and/or a different weight than delivered Down To Fab, LLC will need the package length, width, and depth and an accurate weight to supply the return label.  The expense of the return label will be deducted from the return value amount.
    • Customer may arrange and pay the return shipping.
    • Parts must be returned unused, not previously installed, clean, unmodified, not damaged, in the original packaging, and in saleable condition or the pending return credit may not be approved nor processed.

If the customer is not satisfied with the shipping time we will work with the customer based on the below guidelines:

  • Please note that the Down To Fab, LLC is not responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers, especially during historically slow times (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, etc.).  We do try to get packages processed and to the carrier ASAP, but sometimes packages do get delayed while in transport by the carriers.  As of 03-30-2025 we are seeing some sporadic and long delays from UPS and USPS due to heavy shipping demand.  They are NOT guaranteeing their stated shipping times, nor refunding for delays.  Down To Fab, LLC is not responsible for their delays, nor for the value of the shipping.

If deliveries are refused or are returned as undeliverable:

  • Shipping costs will not be refunded and any return shipping expenses are the responsibility of the customer and will be deducted from the return value amount.
  • If reshipment of the order is required, the expense to ship again is the responsibility of the customer.

Typically it takes 5-8 business days from the date the refund charge is processed to see the balance in the customer's account.

 

CANCELLATIONS:

If a cancellation request is received for non-special in stock items, is before the order has shipped, and before the order is picked/packaged:

  • Customer will receive a full refund for the order and shipping costs.

If a cancellation request is received for non-special in stock items, is before the order has shipped, but is after the order is picked/packaged:

  • Customer will be charged a 15% restocking fee and will receive shipping costs.

If a cancellation request is received for an order already shipped:

  • Customer must go through the above defined return process.

If a cancellation request is received for a special order and/or non-stocked items:

  • Customer will be denied the cancellation.  Case by case exceptions can be reviewed.

If a cancellation request is received for a custom fabricated item, repairs, or labor before the work or item is completed or before the order ships:

  • Customer will be charged for all raw materials and itemized labor per our posted rates.
